Students from the Academy of Environmental Science and Technology will be representing Forest Hill Community High School as one of five secondary schools in Palm Beach County to send a delegation of 13 students and 2 chaperones to the Florida Green, Energy & Climate Conference on Wednesday, May 22 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. Students will be invited to join the conference VIPs for a special student ceremony. The mission of this conference is to provide a forum for education and networking that will advance local businesses in today’s new green economy with the goal of building socially responsible and sustainable enterprises.
Academy students will have an opportunity to tour the expo center and meet with key individuals in the business community from organizations such as Waste Management, engineering and construction firms, SF Water Management District, and FP&L.
Nicholas Megrath was an honor student at the Environmental Academy at Forest Hill Community High School before his untimely death in 1999. He would have graduated in June of that year. We keep his memory alive with a scholarship program to help graduating students of the Academy further their education.
